New Program Coordinator and TDC Gala

Our new board is now complete! Congratulations to our new Program Coordinator Hang Bui!

In other news, Taste of Diversity was a big hit! There was delicious food and fun performances; there are still people walking around on campus with some beautiful henna designs on their arms.

Upcoming Events:

We will be discussing how socio-economic status and curriculum play a role in shaping education in various places in America.Current events will also be brought up as examples of how these two factors play a role in education. This will include topics such as why the Ethnic Studies program in Arizona got cut after the anti-immigration bill was proposed in April 2010 as well as how Kelly Williams, the mother of two, got sent to jail after sending her two children to a better school district by using their father's address.

We will be eating, dancing and having a good time to wrap up a good year! Congratulations to SDA and ASA, who tied for the most points and chose the themes for the event: Lady Gaga and Arabian Nights!
